Community

Member of CODE

To be a Member of CODE is to enter into a living relationship with The Path of Direct Experience. Membership reflects both a commitment to the Path and an active form of participation in the life of the Church. It is not symbolic.
It is lived.

Become a Member of CODE

Membership is the first step in engaging The Path of Direct Experience.

It provides access to the community, eligibility for screening, and the ability to participate in ceremonies when appropriate.

What Membership Includes

Membership provides access to a structured and active community:

  • Regular Zoom Gatherings — live discussion, teaching, and connection
  • CODE Book Club — exploration of consciousness and Direct Experience
  • The Return — CODE recovery and support group
  • CODE Connect — in-person gatherings and local connection
  • Volunteer Network — opportunities for deeper service and involvement

All community offerings are available to Members of CODE.

Membership Structure

Membership in the Church of Direct Experience provides access to the life of the community, including preparation, integration, and participation in ceremonial gatherings. All contributions directly support the sacramental life of the church.

Each annual membership includes a one-time ceremonial credit equal to the full value of the membership. This credit may be applied toward participation in a single ceremonial gathering within the membership year.

Supporter

Sustainer

Patron

$1,500

annually

  • Ceremonial credit is non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Membership is required for participation in ceremonial gatherings.
  • Ceremonial contributions beyond the included credit may be required depending on the selected gathering.
  • If unused within the membership year, the credit converts into general support of the church's mission.

This structure ensures clarity, fairness, and full alignment between membership and participation, while supporting the ongoing work and mission of the Church of Direct Experience.

Participation and Screening

Participation in ceremony is not automatic. All members who wish to participate must complete a screening and intake process. All submissions are reviewed prior to approval. Participation is offered only when it is appropriate, safe, and aligned.
