Eight Beliefs and Ways of Knowing

Received by the Church of Direct Experience as guiding principles for a life of sincerity, healing, and spiritual communion.

01

There Is One Source

A unified Divine Intelligence pervades all creation. Every particle of matter, every breath of life, every flicker of consciousness flows from and returns to this single Source. This is not a metaphor. It is the fundamental nature of reality as revealed through direct experience. When we quiet the mind and open the heart, we encounter this Source not as an idea, but as a presence that is infinite, intimate, and inescapable.

The Source is not distant. It is the ground beneath every step, the breath within every breath.

02

Direct Experience of the Divine

Sacred plants facilitate spiritual communion, unveiling the unity that connects all living beings to the Source. This experience transcends the categories of belief and disbelief. It is not something you accept or reject. It is something you undergo. Those who have tasted direct experience carry a knowledge that no argument can install and no argument can remove. It is the foundation upon which all other knowing rests.

You cannot unsee what the sacred has shown you. You can only choose how faithfully you live in its light.

03

Divine Visions and Guidance

Through sincere practice, revelation offers strength, clarity, and understanding, not as abstract doctrine, but as lived encounter with truth. These visions are not hallucinations or fantasies. They are communications from a deeper order of reality, one that speaks in symbol, sensation, and direct knowing. The guidance received in ceremony illuminates the path forward with a clarity that the rational mind alone cannot achieve.

Revelation is not given to the clever. It is given to the sincere.

04

Unity with Nature

We are brothers and sisters of the Earth. The natural world is not a resource to be consumed but a sacred community to which we belong. The trees, rivers, animals, and soil are not separate from us. They are expressions of the same Source that animates our own lives. To harm nature is to harm ourselves. To heal our relationship with the Earth is to begin healing everything.

The forest does not judge. It receives all who enter with sincerity.

05

Suffering Arises from Separation

Division from the Creator, from one another, and from nature is the root of human suffering. Every form of anguish, whether loneliness, addiction, violence, or despair, can be traced to the illusion that we are isolated fragments in an indifferent universe. Healing begins with the restoration of connection: to the Source, to community, and to the living world that sustains us.

The wound is separation. The remembering is the return.

06

Sacred Plants Dissolve Illusion

These ancient allies purge false beliefs and conditioned patterns, revealing our true essence: whole, luminous, and intimately connected to all that is. Sacred plants do not add something foreign to our experience. They remove what is false. Layer by layer, the accumulated weight of trauma, fear, and conditioning falls away, and what remains is the self as it was always meant to be: clear, compassionate, and free.

The plant does not create the light. It removes what was blocking it.

07

Unity Across All Theologies

Every sincere path toward truth leads to the same light. We honor all traditions that seek genuine connection with the sacred. Whether one approaches through Christianity, Buddhism, Indigenous wisdom, Islam, Judaism, or any other sincere tradition, the destination is the same: direct encounter with the Source. We do not claim to replace any tradition. We claim kinship with all who seek honestly.

The mountain has many paths. The summit is one.

08

Healing Ripples Outward

When one person heals, the effect extends to families, communities, and the Earth itself. Personal transformation is inseparable from collective renewal. This is not wishful thinking. It is observable reality. A parent who heals raises healthier children. A community member who finds peace becomes a source of peace for others. The work of healing is never selfish. It is the most generous thing a person can do.

Heal yourself, and watch the world around you begin to change.

Know more. Wonder less.
